Shoes That Fit is a project of the Palm Springs SunUp Rotary Foundation.
We care about kids, and we believe that every kid deserves shoes that fit.
Our mission is to provide new shoes to children in need so that they can attend school in comfort and with dignity. We do this by working with administrators at the various schools to determine how many children are in need of shoes and whether they come from families designated as low to moderate income pursuant to federal guidelines. We order shoes during the summer months with delivery in September, just as school commences.
Shoes are then distributed over the balance of the year as the need arises.
We also provide shoes to siblings of these children who are not yet in school.
Every penny raised is spent on shoes and goes directly to the kids. There are no administrative or other costs associated with the program.
